Today’s engagement session is one of my favorites! I love when couples have unique ideas for the location of their session. Marina & Brian really wanted a relaxed, date night feel for their engagement photos as well as a second location showcasing some of the beautiful mountain views we have here in Utah. 

Marina & Brian met while attending school at Brigham Young University in Provo. They are both engineering majors. He chose mechanical engineering and she is studying chemical engineering. The two of them together make an impressive team in the brains department! Not to mention how adorable they are together.

We started at a quaint French cafe in downtown Salt Lake City called Gourmandise. It’s always packed and always delicious! We had fun choosing the yummiest looking (and most photogenic!) desserts to enjoy before the picture-taking really got underway. Then we took our time strolling around the area at a leisurely pace just talking and having a great time. I love the casual, lifestyle feel of the photos. It was plain to see that Marina & Brian just really love spending time together!

Our second location was Little Dell Reservoir which is about 20 minutes from Salt Lake City. Dark clouds started moving in as we neared our destination. We were pretty nervous that our session would be cut short if it started raining. Luckily, all we saw were moody skies and pretty yellow wildflowers all around. It was a gorgeous spot! I love the colors Marina & Brian chose to wear to compliment the beautiful setting. Just as we were getting back to our cars, the rain started pouring! We got seriously lucky.

Congratulations, Marina & Brian! I had the best time with you! I hope your Indiana wedding day is as wonderful as the two of you.
