I love it when I get to photograph weddings at new venues that I’ve never visited before because I often end up with a new favorite! That was definitely the case for Sarah & Stockton’s wedding. Their reception took place at the Grand View Reception Center in Ogden, and it is now a contender for my future wedding plans!
Sarah & Stockton were married on a beautiful fall day at the Salt Lake Temple. The bride was absolutely stunning in her boho lace dress! Those sleeves and the long train are the stuff of bridal dreams! The two of them were adorable and so happy to be getting married.
The happy couple met in high school through mutual friends. They didn’t go to the same school, but they instantly clicked. One night in the summer before their senior year, Stockton surprised Sarah with a kiss. He must have somehow lost his mind though because after dating for a few months, he friend-zoned her. They still stayed good friends though. The next summer Stockton served a mission in Argentina. His senses must have returned to him while he was away because he called Sarah as soon as he got home, and they’ve been together ever since!
The reception that evening was absolutely beautiful. The Grand View strikes the perfect balance with its light and airy interior and the brick statement wall that makes for such pretty photos. I love the emerald green dresses Sarah chose for her bridesmaids. There was lots of dancing which was so much fun for all of the guests. The groomsmen even had a Dirty Dancing moment by pulling off THE iconic lift. It was a wonderful night that no one will soon forget!
Congratulations, Sarah & Stockton! I loved being a part of your wedding day! I know the two of you have many happy years ahead of you.
