Every time I think I’ve found all of the most beautiful spots in Utah, I find somewhere new and it makes me so happy all over again! We photographed Danielle & Gavin’s engagement session at Silver Lake (an old favorite) and Guardsman Pass. I have visited the pass many times before, but I haven’t shot there in a while. It felt fresh and new, and I couldn’t have asked for a cuter couple to see it with!
Danielle & Gavin went to high school together and dated for a little while. They got back together after Gavin got home from serving a mission. They’ve been madly in love ever since! The two of them really are best friends. They are always a team, supporting each other and doing everything together.
Gavin proposed on a canyon road above Bountiful that is a special place for the two of them. He decorated the spot with twinkle lights to add even more magic to the beautiful view. It had always been Danielle’s wish that her future husband would design her engagement ring himself and surprise her with it. Gavin’s mom is a jeweler and talked Danielle into coming in to look at rings to see what style she liked best. The sneaky groom-to-be told her it wouldn’t be ready for 6-8 weeks. Shortly afterward, he surprised her with a proposal and the ring he had been hiding for weeks!
These two were so happy during their engagement photos! Gavin was almost as excited for their session as Danielle was! We basically got eaten alive by mosquitoes at the lake, but it was completely worth it!
Congratulations, Danielle & Gavin! You two are so adorable together! I can’t wait for your wedding at the Bountiful Temple!
