Meet Mari (Mariana) and Connor, they’re so cute together and not afraid to be their silly selves in front of the camera, which I LOVE! This engagement session took place at Tibble Fork Reservoir up American Fork Canyon. It was pretty warm, and the snow was starting to melt (that’s how I justified slipping and falling several times, super embarrassing)!
Mari met Connor while serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was originally serving in Boston, Massachusetts, but was reassigned to the Rhode Island mission where Connor was serving. Talk about a match made in heaven! After their missions, Mari returned home to Brazil and Connor returned home to Nebraska. They immediately started talking everyday and hit it off. It only took two months (but seemed like forever) until they were able to meet up in Utah together. They went axe throwing and out to a Peruvian restaurant for dinner.
That next week Connor moved to Rexburg to attend school and Mari stayed in Provo. Connor asked Mari to be his date for a wedding the following weekend and they were both head over heels for each other. Connor spent his weekends in Provo and Mari made a couple trips to Idaho to be together. Fast forward to today, they’re both finally living in the same town attending BYU. Mari is studying construction management and Connor is studying neuroscience to become a doctor, talk about a power couple!
On Valentine’s day, Connor took Mari to their picnic spot in the mountains. He had two Crumbl cookie boxes and asked her to choose one. He opened it up and they started eating the cookie, when she asked him what was in the other box, he opened it up and there was a gorgeous wedding ring. Later that night, Connor took Mari to the same Peruvian restaurant they went to on their first date. These two enjoy going out to eat, cooking together, watching movies (even though Mari tends to fall asleep, even in the theaters) and going to amusement parks.
Mari and Connor are getting married on June 5th at the Draper temple. Mari’s family is all traveling from Brazil to be here and I’m so excited to meet them! I loved meeting these two, they are both so sweet and so in love!
