Our Story
We met at BYU-Idaho at church! He knocked on my door twice to ask me on a date but only my roommates were home. And that's not the kind of thing you can really leave a message for haha. On his third attempt, I was home and he asked me. I was so impressed that he did it in person instead of texting or even calling. We went on a few more dates before he asked if we could date exclusively. I was nervous at first to enter a relationship, but I really liked him so I told him yes the next day! That day was October 19.
We like cooking, shooting, being outside, and watching movies together. We had a ton of free mini-golf coupons so we did that at least once a week while we were dating haha. He proposed at the end of February. We were supposed to be married in June, but quickly adapted as the severity of COVID-19 increased. We thought and prayed a lot before deciding to be married in April and delay our sealing and celebrations.
We haven't regretted that decision one bit! My family drove out from Indiana and we had a "drive-in" wedding at a friends' property in Morgan, UT. Family and close friends parked in a field to witness the ceremony, and we got to say hello to all of them as they drove out. We had so much fun, and we're so happy to have started our lives together. It hasn't dampened our excitement to celebrate with ALL of our loved ones and be sealed in the temple forever.
