Mountain Wildflower Engagement Session || Albion Basin, Utah

Nothing is more humbling than being asked to capture special moments for a fellow photographer. I met Sophia through an online photography group that we are both a part of and I was over the moon when she messaged me asking me to be her wedding photographer!

Sophia & Jake met when they were both in school at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. The couple was visiting Washington D.C. on a weekend business trip right before the Fourth of July when Jake proposed. That’s a Fourth of July to remember!

Their engagement session is one of my very favorites of all time! We drove up Little Cottonwood Canyon together and arrived at this magical land of wildflowers called Albion Basin. The flowers were absolutely breathtaking! The hills were so alive with color! I felt like breaking into song with my arms outstretched, channeling my inner Julie Andrews.

Sophia & Jake were so energetic and full of love for one another! Their joy really comes through in these photos. Their wedding is this Saturday in Sacramento, California, and I couldn’t be more excited!!
