I’m so excited for the wedding I have to share with you today! This had to be one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever been to. Emilee & Tyler are SO loved! Their wedding was PACKED with friends and family who clearly could not have been happier for the two of them.
Emilee & Tyler met at a lunch after church in their singles ward. Emilee and her best friend just wanted to go home and take a nap, but they were somehow persuaded to go anyway. Tyler came to their table and asked to sit down. Emilee & Tyler bonded over breakfast casserole, and they’ve been in each other’s lives ever since!
Tyler proposed at the Deer Creek Island Resort at sunset. Emilee was told they were going to play board games with family. However, when they arrived, the deck was covered in candles, rose petals, string lights and pictures of the two of them together with a romantic fire burning nearby. He said all the sweet things that made her cry as he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Isn’t that a cute story??
The happy couple was married at the Draper Temple on a cold November day. The bridal party consisted of twelve bridesmaids and twelve groomsmen! In fact, their group of well-wishers was so big that we couldn’t even fit into the spot I’d chosen for group photos! It’s easy to see why everyone loves Emilee & Tyler though. They were so happy to be getting married and so sweet together.
The ring ceremony and reception later that evening took place at Shade Home and Garden. This greenhouse turned wedding venue is one of my favorite locations! It’s so beautiful year-round and you really can’t go wrong. It was very clear how much Emilee & Tyler’s family and friends really love them, not only because they had such a huge bridal party but also because of the wonderful things that were said about them during the toasts. There were so many funny and embarrassing stories and touching words said about how perfect they are for each other. Emilee’s best friend and bridesmaid is a pastry chef at Sundance, and she did an amazing job making the wedding cake! This was just another way that showed how much the couple’s friends care about them.
The most important part of the reception for the bride was the dance party! She gave a shout out to all of the guests at the beginning of the night saying she wanted to see everyone on the dance floor. What a party it was! All of the guests got really into it. There were lots of hands in the air and lots of soulja boy. I even wanted to dance and join in the fun!
Congratulations, Emilee & Tyler! Your wedding was a night to remember! I was so happy to be a part of it.
