Associate Team Spotlight: Sophia || Utah Wedding Photographer

It’s been so fun for me lately to share the work of my associate team! I knew making the decision to expand my business to include other photographers was going to be a game changer, but I wasn’t prepared for just how rewarding it would be. Getting to know these ladies and cheering them on as they grow and develop their skills has been one of the highlights of my year!

I thought it would be fun over the next few weeks for you to get to know them, too! Today, we’re starting with the lovely Sophia. She was a Tasha Rose Bride herself! See photos from her beautiful wedding in Sacramento, California here!

Here are a few facts about Sophia that you might now know:

1. Tell us a little about you and your family.

My husband and I met at in Provo, Utah at Brigham Young University. I am currently an Information Systems major, which means that I study how technology and business can integrate together. The two of us are living in Washington D.C. for the summer AND we will be traveling to Newport Beach, Iceland, Spain, London, Switzerland and Milan!

2. Where are you from?

I’m from California! My husband and I were married at the Sacramento Temple last summer. Tasha was our wedding photographer! That is how I met her and became her associate!

3. What is your Enneagram number?

I’m a type 2- The Helper. My type is feeling-based with a focus on relationships. It made me really happy to learn that a strength of people with my personality type is supporting others and helping bring out their potential. That’s always a goal of mine! Especially as a photographer.

4. What do you love to eat?

My favorite food is popcorn. Specifically the homemade kind with lots of butter! I also eat tacos several times a week. I’m gluten-free, just like Tasha.

5. What are your current favorite books or podcasts?

I have been listening to WorkLife with Adam Grant lately, and I’m enjoying it so far!

6. What do you love about photography?

Getting to know different people, getting a little glimpse into people’s love stories and helping people realize just how beautiful they are!

7. What is your favorite thing to photograph?

PEOPLE. Specifically, couples in love!

8. Where would you go on your dream vacation?

I love to travel! My dream vacation is to visit Iceland. I will be lucky enough to cross that one off my bucket list with my husband this summer!

9. What is one thing that not a lot of people know about you?

My husband and I write music together! I sing and play the violin. He sings and plays just about every other instrument– guitar, piano, xylophone, and drums.

10. What is your favorite adventure you’ve been on?

I once climbed Mount Whitney, the tallest mountain in the contiguous United States! We did it in one day. It was so much fun!

11. What little things always make your day better?

When my husband, Jake, sends me a text while he’s at work that he loves me. Deep belly laughs. Dancing in the kitchen. When Jake sings a love song he wrote for me.

12. What are you really grateful for right now?

My husband always <3, family, butter popcorn, music
